🌹 Labour selects Lisa Worrell for Bentley Heath & The Royds by-election

Hertsmere Labour is proud to announce that Lisa Worrell has been selected as our candidate for the Bentley Heath & The Royds by-election, taking place on Thursday 7th May.

Lisa is a familiar face to many across Potters Bar. Known locally as someone who simply gets on and helps, she has spent years at the heart of the community, bringing people together and supporting residents in practical, meaningful ways.

From organising the much-loved Potters Bar Santa and Easter Bunny initiatives, to quietly helping neighbours behind the scenes, Lisa has built a reputation as someone who is always there when it matters most.

A mum of five with children at local schools, Lisa has lived in Potters Bar for decades. She understands first-hand the pressures facing local families and the importance of strong, supportive communities.

Alongside her community work, Lisa has also supported charities working with children and families affected by autism and ADHD. She is a passionate advocate for better SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) provision, and is committed to making sure families get the support they need, when they need it.

Lisa Worrell said:
“Potters Bar has been my home for decades, and I care deeply about our community. I’ve always believed in helping out where I can, whether that’s supporting local families or bringing people together through community events. Now I want to do even more by standing up for residents as a local councillor.

I know how important it is that people feel heard and supported, especially families navigating SEND provision. I will be a strong voice for Bentley Heath & The Royds and work hard every day to get results for our area.”

If elected, Lisa will work as part of the Labour team running Hertsmere, ensuring Bentley Heath & The Royds has another strong voice inside the administration, working closely with Cllr Helen Green, focused on delivering real improvements for residents.

From protecting local green spaces and standing with residents on key planning issues, to supporting families and strengthening community life, Lisa will be a dedicated and effective local councillor.
