Hertsmere Constituency Labour Party is pleased to announce the election of its new Executive Committee, following a successful Annual General Meeting.

We are proud to welcome Prabhakar Kaza as our new Chair. Prabhakar was elected unopposed, taking over from long-standing party stalwart Di Hoeksma, who stepped down after many years of dedicated service on the executive. Di has been a source of wisdom, encouragement and leadership to members across Hertsmere, and we thank her sincerely for everything she has contributed to the local party.

Prabhakar is joined by his son, Aaditya Kaza, newly elected as Vice Chair. Aaditya brings fresh energy and a welcome generational perspective to the executive team. Radhika Settipalli continues in her role as Secretary, building on her excellent work in supporting the CLP’s organisation and communications over the past year.

We’re also pleased to confirm that Helen Green will continue as Treasurer, and Parveen Rani remains in post as Women’s Officer — both bringing valuable experience and dedication to their roles.

Also, returning to the Executive for the first time in several years is Richard Butler who takes on the Trade Union Liaison Officer role.

Together, this team blends continuity and renewal, and is well placed to lead Hertsmere CLP into the year ahead — continuing to build our presence across the borough and prepare for the next Local Elections, whenever they may come.

While the recent Hertfordshire County Council elections didn’t return the results we’d hoped for in Hertsmere, our members campaigned tirelessly and put Labour values front and centre of the local conversation.

Looking ahead, our new executive is focused on regrouping, reconnecting with our communities, and ensuring we’re ready to fight and win in the next General Election.

If you’re a member interested in getting more involved — whether through campaigning, events, or policy discussions — we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we continue to build a stronger Labour movement in Hertsmere.
