Following this evenings meeting of Hertsmere Borough Council (23 January 2019) Hertsmere Labour Group said that local housing provision will suffer after a key Labour motion on Housing was not debated.  The Tories used their majority to close the meeting half an hour early at 10pm after one of the Cabinet members said they were too tired to continue.

This prevented any discussion of Labour’s proposals on the housing crisis, empty homes in our area, homelessness provision and other key issues impacting local people.

The text of the motion as it appeared on the Council agenda appears below.
